Skinless Finger

Formed in the early 00's as a jam-band, featuring original members: Adds Smith (AKA Lostboysmith / Can Top Band) on Guitar, Joe Barton (Shift-Static) on Bass, and Phil Smallwood (The Dan Jones Project) on Drums. Shortly after initial band practices, realising that there were already enough Metallica cover bands.....Ash P was recruited to make some noise down the mic. SF took Manchester by storm in their early days with their material, which later survived various lineup changes and to this day, is played and highly regarded by the regular, strong fanbase. In 2006, Gaz replaced Joe on Bass, extensive gigging of the north-west continued until 2008 when Adds began touring the world. It was at this time we recruited second guitarist Nick, to fill out the live sound to match the quality of the debut album UNCLE FUNK. There was a time where the lineup of Ash, Adds, Gaz, Phil and Nick worked amazingly well, to the point that the band were crowned Manchester's finest 2009, and onto the Indig02 London, to be marked as one of the top 10 unsigned acts in the UK. Unfortunately, shortly after this time Adds left the band to travel some more... After picking up the pieces, the legend that is Nick took all of the lead guitar lines and made them his own. This has shaped a new Skinless Finger, as heard on the 2010 EP 'EMPLOYMENT Vs ENJOYMENT' 2011 was unfortunately a year of too much employment, and not anywhere near enough enjoyment....apart from that week in Cornwall!! 2012 so far has seen the retirement of older songs from UNCLE FUNK, and a new set for the year.
