Steel Drum Island

Steve and Dawn Hendrickson met in high school in Orlando Florida. Both had a passion for music and the ocean. After earning their degrees from Rollins College their journey led them to teaching scuba diving and navigating the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean as boat captains. While working in the islands they learned about steel drums and decided to devote their lives to playing and recording the soothing sounds of the instrument, ultimately creating the "Steel Drum Island Collection". Steve and Dawn have performed throughout the US, Caribbean, Europe and Australia and their company Tropical Music International, LLC grew into a successful worldwide music distribution company and talent agency. Their love of the Caribbean ultimately led them to the beautiful island of Curaçao where they now live and play steel drums under the palm trees. They are permanent residents of both Curacao and Florida.
