The Medics

‘The Medics hop, roar and swing’ (NRC.next) Pure energy, lots of audience interaction and a setlist full of tight as a tiger indie pop. That would be a suitable discription for what you get if you put The Medics on your stage. These guys (3 Dutch, 2 Swedish members) have quite a trackrecord in The Netherlands with their first album Dance Into The Dark: airplay on national radio and television, tours that led them to all major venues and festivals. Furthermore their single City is featured in the infamous popular soccer game FIFA12, amongst artists like Foster The People and The Strokes. Which gained them international attention from all over the world. Then silence kicks in. The band experience tough times and is on the verge of quitting several times. When by the end of 2013 the smoke has cleared, the bond between the band members is stronger than ever. The Medics is back, with the Swedish recruit Daniel Hallin on keys and guitar. This fall (October 3rd) The Medics will release their 2nd – more diverse – album. Think of tracks as We Are Not Alone (80’s synth based song), Something In The Water (energetic indie rock), Under My Skin (summer pop) and A World Ago (an intense song featuring Razorlight’s Andy Burrows).
