Downphase

Dark Below is a four-piece, hard rock band based out of Columbia, MO. After an odd Craigslist ad gone right, Josh Campbell and Brett Markovich started jamming and writing originals in early 2012, putting together a set for a full band and a live show. In late 2012, Josh Grove joined the duo, providing them with the missing piece to take the songs from the basement, out onto the stage. Downphase was created and the trio played shows all over the Columbia and St. Louis, Missouri area, honing their skills and working on additional songs. In late 2013, Coty Penn was added to the lineup as a lead guitarist, giving the songs an extra dynamic and a little more kick. Downphase befriended Jason Schrick (Six by Silver/JPS Productions) and started working with him on songs and recording an EP. Malcolm Springer (Producer/engineer: Matchbox 20, Collective Soul) got together with Jason Schrick and they began co-producing the band’s new EP. Downphase made the transition to the new name of Dark Below and took to the road, playing for new faces and sharing their new songs with anyone who would listen. Dark Below is an energetic hard-rock band based out of Columbia, MO.
