About 7 Days Away

Blurring the genre boundaries of modern indie-rock with heavy tones of artists similiar to Killswitch Engage and Breaking Benjamin, comes now the intelligently crafted, radio-ready, Hard Rock music of the band 7 Days Away... The band 7 Days Away was formed in 2003 in a small town in Indiana called "Connersville". In 2007 the band released a full length album "Death Cannot Separate" on iTunes and sold 38,000 digital copies of the album and 6,000 copies of the single "Released". In 2008 the band jumped back into the studio and recorded the album "Stigmata" with producer Joey Sturgis (credits include: The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack). The band quotes going into the studio with a hardcore producer was overwhelming at first being a hard rock band, but the results were undeniable. After finishing the album, they entered a national contest put on by Lionsgate Films. Over 5,000 bands entered this contest all over the world. The contest judges included Jay Faires(President Of LionsGate Music) & Shaun Morgan (Vocalist for the band "Seether"). One month after entering the song "Take Me Away" in this contest, the band received a call from LionsGate informing them they had won first place. The winner of this contest received $5,000 and placement of the song in the movie "Punisher Warzone" on the national soundtrack along side bands such as Hatebreed, Rob Zombie, Seether, Rise Against, and many more. 7 Days Away had made history in their small town in Indiana. After the release, they began gaining support all over the east coast and the album "Stigmata" sold over 43,000 copies on iTunes with the hit song that was on the soundtrack "Take Me Away". After months of shows and touring, LionsGate contacted the band about using some more of their music in a few more movies. They used two tracks in the movie "Wrong Side Of Town" starring Batista , Ja Rule, and many other stars. They used the song "Take Me Away" again in the UFC movie "Never Surrender". They later contacted 7 Days Away about using 2 more tracks. The Band headed in to record "From This Fall" & "I Want You To Know" to be included in the movie "Locked Down". After landing placement on movie soundtracks the band's Social Media websites started gaining traffic. In 2012, there were changes that needed made within the band so that some of the members could pursue different things. They then replaced the members and recorded a new E.P. titled "The Risk" which was released in July 2012. "The Risk" had quickly taken off on iTunes and YouTube. The bands current YouTube views are 1.4 MILLION total video views along with over 1,700 subscribers and climbing everyday. In September of 2012 the band entered another contest to play at the biggest national venue in Indiana called "Klipsch Music Center" for the Rockstar Uproar Music Festival. They had to do 3 different battle of the bands for live performances, and won them all. The band played Klipsch along with Shinedown, Staind, P.O.D., Adelitas Way, Godsmack, Hollywood Undead, In This Moment, and many more. The band continues to steadily break ground in the Music Industry. 7 Days Away have managed to grab the attention of a broad audience of listeners and industry professionals alike. With 3 previous releases: Death Cannot Separate, Stigmata, The Risk, as well as the latest word of a full-Length LP album release in the works, the band have recruited new talent and forged partnerships on the West Coast to accomplish the goal of adding their best work yet - to an already unprecedented independently built resume. While currently inhabiting Southern California to garner support for their latest E.P. release of 2012 “The Risk”, the group have continued to honor their Midwest roots of Melodic vocal parts teaming with neck breaking Post-Hardcore breakdowns and a sonic assault of articulate guitar riffs into their already impressive live performance. Bands that 7 Days Away have shared the stage with: Shinedown, Staind, In This Moment, Godsmack, Adelita's Way, Powerman 5000, Escape The Fate, P.O.D., Dayshell and more. Events 7 Days Away have had the pleasure of performing at: Rockstar Uproar Festival, Wasteland Weekend, Down For The Underground Festival and many more.
