I'm a singer/songwriter from Chicago. R&B singer Maysa (of the band Incognito) has recorded two of my songs: "Honey Bee" on her 2010 release "A Woman in Love," and the ballad "Everything" on 2002's album "Out of the Blue." I released my first album, "Homegrown," in 2006 on the internet. The album is a melting pot of everything I love: Beatlesque melodies, hip-hop beats, strings, distorted guitars, soul, and a lot of piano. My second album, "Shine Right Where You Are," was released in June 2010 on cdbaby, iTunes, Amazon, and beyond. My very first music video, "Karma Kinda Luv," is featured on my YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/johnjoneschicago. Good things lie ahead, and I'd love it if you came along for the ride!
