Tuesday Microgrooves

The newly founded jazz trio Tuesday Microgrooves dropped anchor in the musical haven of Graz, Austria. In 2008 the journey started, playing something similar to Esbjoern Svensson Trio and Medeski, Martin and Wood, Drum ‘n Bass, Erik Satie and Claude Debussy, Funk, Soul and Nu-jazz. The crew consits of captain Wolfgang Radl (composition and bass), the engine Norbert Wallner (composition and drums) and first officer Jenö Lörincz (piano). With the singer Lena Mentschel the trio has found a perfect figurehead. After their first short intermission Tuesday Microgrooves started to venture out into unknown waters. They played a concert for Grammy Award® Winner and Jazz pianist Chucho Valdés and have cooperated with the renowned visual artists of the Life Ball, Ocho Resotto. In 2008 they achieved first place in the Helix Board competition out of 700 participating projects. At the 301 Studios in Cologne they recorded their debut album in 2009/10. Recently tm won second place in the austrian movie score competition. Furthermore to work together with Alain Bertoni from Atmosphere-Media for a new visual conception. In 2011 they release their album "spring kisses, summer rain" and got strong reactions in asia and latin america. With current singer Lena Mentschel, some orchestral cross over projects are planned for 2012 and 2013.
