HEIGHTS NS debut album “Destine Nation” questions and explores the past, present, and future of the nation and world we live in. An album born from the D.I.Y. spirit of hip hop and rock. The album is chalked with urgency and never stops questioning where we are and where we are going. The Heights sound is an eclectic blend of alternative rock and hip hop, and remains accessible through familiar song structures of pop music.

Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens and Tampa; a son of Haitian immigrant parents who left the “Papa Doc” Duvalier rule of Haiti. Whether it was the mostly Haitian kompa or the jazz being played at the home, New York's boom bap hip hop found on the streets of Queens, or the Southern Rap and Alternative Rock found in Tampa, FL, or the stories his parents told of Toussaint L'Ouverture's role in Haiti being the first liberated slave nation; it was only right that culture and diversity would find it's way in all of Heights’ creative endeavors. The music of N.E.R.D., Jimi Hendrix, Outkast, Radiohead, UGK, Nirvana, The Strokes, Massive Attack, Nas, and many more helped Heights find what he would then be spending most of his time doing, music. Initially focused on producing, he ventured closer to the foreground and found a more vocal role as a musician. Having the D.I.Y. spirit infused in him by his upbringing, he began to self-record and taught himself how to play piano, guitar and drums and to rap and vocalize.

With 2 EP's released and an album on the way, a live show where you can expect to hear Heights rap, sing, and play guitar backed by the experienced and talented David Van on bass and Jimmy Van Bremen on drums. Heights NS's live music experience includes events such as TBT's Ultimate Bands of 2013 Rock The Park, Hiphopolooza, Studio 10 TV live, and WMNF 88.5's live on center stage.
