About A Week Away
A Week Away is a 5-piece, heavy hitting alternative pop-punk band from sunny California. This high-energy quintuplet band draws influence from early HXC and pop punk bands such as New Found Glory, Saves The Day and Finch. A Week Away is Derick Pedigo on Vocals, Adam Martinez and Philip Martinez on guitars, Topher Wynn on bass, and Ryan Chin on drums. A Week Away made appearances at Warped Tour 2011, Motel 6 Tour, and the Skinnie Magazine’s Top 100 Bands. A Week Away recently trekked up to The Panda Studios in Fremont, California to record their new 7-track release, Adversities, with Producer/Engineer Donald Scully under the direction of Producer Sam Pura. A Week Away formed in the summer of 2009 and released the 7-track EP, Who Should I Be, on July 8, 2011. “It took us about 2 years to drop our first release because we had so many member changes...” says vocalist, Derick Pedigo. “...but we have such a solid line-up now.” The bearded, toothless drummer, Ryan Chin added, “We like to live life and party.
