Reviews:
Loop Festival 2007
"...today's entertainment begins, for Yahoo! Music anyway, in the capable hands of Transformer. Loop's debut event offers a strong connection with the local scene and it's for good reason this energising electro-pop quartet are billed as "the best unsigned band in Brighton". But they might as well be native New Yorkers. Transformer look like Talking Heads, play like LCD Soundsystem and rap like Blondie, which is perhaps their only blind spot. No matter, because the likes of "Coconut" and "Cinema Car" use an agitated singer, rubber synth loops, hypnotic bass lines, !!!-esque repetitive post-punk guitar attacks and an even a trumpet to get this party started."
Ben Gilbert, Yahoo! Music
"Transformer aren't just one of the best dance bands in Brighton, they are one of the best in the country, filtering post-punk New York quirkiness through the sons-of-Daft Punk french electro scene..""
