Sarah McQuaid

Another wonderful evening with Sarah McQuaid. Her warm, distinctive voice works perfectly for her thoughtful songs, and she plays both acoustic and electric guitar to great effect. Full disclosure - we are great fans and will always go and see her if she's anywhere near, so it was good to hear that she has a new album in the works and to get a sneak preview some of the new songs. Do go and see her if you get the chance, she's a lovely person as well as a wonderful musician.

Mesmerizing artistry.

Great show. Sarah was in fine voice and picked a fine variety of songs including a stand out from her first album. The crowd enjoyed the sing alongs and seemed to have a good time. Seats were comfortable and the room conducive to music. Set was only an hour long and I missed her version of "Forever Autumn" but that's tiny compliant. Always enjoy her stories behind the songs. Don't miss her if you get a chance. Special shout out to Martin for the fine job on the audio.

Sarah's voice and presentation leave one in a rare place of inner calm. One cannot help but be drawn into her stories and songs. Her interpretation of Les Feuilles Mortes (Autumn Leaves), breathed new life into a once popular song being lost to time. She has a very unique style, reminiscent of Joan Baez, Marianne Faithful, and Janis Joplin with a cutting-edge modern delivery, and her own unique musical signature delivery. Her use of electronic loop technology was minimal, yet mesmerizing.

Exceptionally good, just Sarah on stage singing and playing guitar/ keyboard. Her timing and clear melodic voice were perfect, the sound quality was excellent thanks to her sound man. I would recommend hearing her live to anyone. I went on a whim and came away enthralled.

Wonderful and "gezellig" concert, with great performances of "Dig any deeper", "Last song" , "For what it's worth" and many more.
