Konniption Fit is a Modern Rock band with a heavier Pop Punk edge, hailing from Detroit, Michigan. Featuring Jason Caine on lead vocals and guitars, backed by an all female rhythm section of Amber Cat on Bass/backing vocals and Barbie Grrl on drums, their sound covers many sonic territories, from crunchy ear candy, to rebellious moments of anarchy, yet all mixes cohesively into 1 band. Their goal? To write music with a raw, rebellious attitude, play music with conviction, and devastate the stage with an onslaught of catchy melodies, high energy performances, and a show you'll never forget. In the Fall of 2007, Konniption Fit released the EP "Caricatures" produced and engineered by Andy Patalan (Taproot, Sponge) and have been blazing trails with their own brand of "Pop Punk meets Modern Rock" sound across the Midwest. With 2 Midwest tours under their belt, being hand picked by KISS to open for them at DTE Theater in Detroit, opening for national acts such as The Academy Is, The Envy, Taproot, Sponge, Days of the New and many more, as well as sponsorships from Zon Guitars, Egnater Amps, Coffin Case, XOX Audio Tools, Kimikal Clothing & Hot Picks USA, the highly-anticipated full-length CD, "Ballistic" was released in the Spring of 2010. "Ballistic", also produced by Andy Patalan, has since been played on numerous college radio stations, internet radio and podcasts across the country, and has received critical acclaim from reviewers and critics alike.
