About Get Rhythm

John Scalici is an award winning teaching artist, author, internationally recognized drumming facilitator, musician, and a member of the John C. Maxwell Team of certified speakers, coaches, and trainers. His Interactive drumming programs are in high demand at leading corporations, college campuses, elementary, middle and high schools across the U.S.

As a solo artist, he has released two highly acclaimed CDs: RhythmMusic and Rhythms for Drumming and Movement. He has also released a universal rhythms CD entitled, Rhythmic Fun for Everyone.

As a strong advocate of Arts In Education, he is the author of a new book entitled, “Learn In Rhythm”, which is a rhythm-infused activity book for K-12 classroom teachers who want to harness the power of rhythm to teach core subjects including math, science, and language arts.
John is the recipient of the 2010 “Making a Difference” award by the Alabama Alliance for Arts in Education, The 2009 Pauline Ireland Award granted to individual artists, and the 2007 Alabama State Council on the Arts Fellowship award.
He also serves on the Percussive Arts Society’s Interactive Drumming Committee, and is a Remo and Vic Firth Artist/Endorser. His most recent band project is called the Scalici-Alley Project with composer, trumpeter, Rob Alley.
