Patty Griffin was magnificent. A great blend of old and brand spanking new songs! She was charming and humble. Possibly one of my favorite of her shows ever. 🩷🥰
Her guitarist, David Pulkingham is on 🔥!

It was a great concert. I’ve been wanting to see Patti live for years. I love her music and the guy that accompanied her on the guitar was probably the best guitarist I’ve ever heard. Patti was also fabulous on a guitar, much better in person than on her recordings. My only disappointment was that she didn’t play more of her older music because there’s many songs of her past that I really love and she only played a few. Other than that, I enjoyed the concert immensely.

patty griffin was better than fresh air. her triumvirate changed the music and how she sang her songs, but was brilliant just the same. special highlights were the guitar-tambourine solo and concert goer having a medical emergency early into a song patty was singing. it was boulder, so at least ten people from the audience got up to help the person. medical training ftw! go see patty, her voluminous hair, and her her two exceptionally talented bandmates. it is all too wild, never mild.

Patty and company were amazing, the opener, Ben Goldsmith, was great, and the venue was incredible. The other attendees were great as well (you never know how it's going to go in a smaller venue that serves alcohol). Can't wait to see Patty again and I'd definitely come back to the Wilma.

After a great warm up set of tunes from Hayes Carll, I was ready to be carried away with a glorious musical performance from Patty Griffin last night at Mount Baker Theatre. Her two accompanying musicians were wonderful and she wowed us with her guitar expertise. But something was wrong. Her voice was not that brilliant clear instrument nor the folksy style of the eleven albums of hers that I’ve collected over the years and played over and over. Patty didn’t seem to struggle, but I did. I couldn’t grasp most of the lyrics and the music made me squirm in my seat. I am here listening to her songs the day after and I am hearing great sounds from a great artist. Where was her beautiful voice last night?…….Mike Gianunzio, Camano Island, WA

Hayes Carll was spectacular, then brought out his wife Allison Moorer. Swoon.
Patty was battling a bit of a cold. Her banter with us was perfection.
Mesmerized by the guitarist, David Pulkingham, and the drummer, Michael Longoria.
She took us through her catalog, and back again. A very spiritual, and enjoyable evening.

This was so disappointing. I love Patty and was excited to see her in concert for the first time. Sadly, she had a cold and her voice just couldn't do it. And I didn't care for the arrangements of the songs. The guitar player was so skilled but the Spanish guitar undertones made no sense for the music. I felt like she needed a bigger band. The musician and musicians didn't fit together and the whole thing felt a bit flat. We were so sad and left before it was done. Patty herself seems appealing but the night didn't get going at all. The Palace of Fine Arts is amazing. I wish they had more concerts that weren't silly cover bands - I would go more often.

The show at the Troubadour was LOVEY! Wonderful vulnerable singer songwriter with a beautiful smile. Such an amazing talent. Dave Pulkingham, accompanied her on guitar. He was fantastic! The two of them have really great chemistry. Make it a point to go out and see Patty Griffin live. You will not be disappointed.

Patty's show was amazing! Actually one of my favorites out of the 8 times I have seen her since 2005! I have met her in person 3 times over the years. She is one of the most humble, kind artists I have ever met. Her tour manager took my gifts to Patty and got several cds signed and a shirt autographed for my best friend that could not attend. It was truly a Heavenly Day! The venue is nice and everyone that works there and or volunteers are all so helpful and polite! CM

Raul Malo was great. Never seen him before; what a wonderful voice and music.
We have seen Patty Griffin many times and this time was disappointing. She played a short set by usual standards, and a lot of her choices were uninspiring. On a cold cold night, the audience needed some rousing, not a lot of dousing. Patty recently issued a new recording and chose to play only one of the songs, and not the best one IMO. On the upside, her sidemen were terrific as was her voice and instrumental performance; but just wished for more of it and more uplifting tunes..

Great to see Patty again, she sounded great, had an UNBELIEVABLE guitar player with her, told stories about her songs, super cool, amazing sound! I wanted to hear more of her old songs, she didn’t play many. Plus she thought it was her first trip to Grand Rapids(she has been to Calvin TWICE)?? All in all, great show

Parker and Patty with her band were terrific! A lot of new material from Parker - looking forward to the new album ( hope he releases the song that did not make the cut "final curtain" [ ? ] ) Patty is a treasure!

Patty was great, despite a cold. The depth of her song writing carries over any minor foibles in her voice.
I was happy that the theater was checking vaccination status and required masks. However, I would like it if food and drinks were not allowed in seats. If someone takes off a mask to eat in the lobby, I can keep a safe distance. In my seat, I'm not able to maintain a 6 foot distance with unmasked neighbors.

Wonderful show! Patty shared a wide assortment of her music, along with personal stories and thoughtful commentary. Her guitarist, David Pulkingham was also fabulous! They seem to have a great rapport and play together beautifully. Thank you for a terrific show!

Great intimate show and opening act Parker Millsap. You could see and hear how Patty, David Pulkingham, and Parker enjoyed playing music and sharing thier craft with others. Well worth the 4 hour drive to see the preformance [ during this ongoing pandemic ] ! I am grateful that the musicians, road crew, and all the support staff involved chose to share thier commitment to entertainment. Hope to see them again!!

Patty Griffin and her band were fantastic. She sang songs from her new album as well as fan favorites! Her voice is so magical. It my first time at Levon Helm Studios and it’s was a small and intimate setting - maybe about 200 people. I had standing room only tickets and I could see everything. The only negative was that the Studio/Barn was very hot upstairs.

Patty was exceptional as always; I’ve seen her about fifteen times or so over the past 20+ years. She covered most of the new album; some favorites from it include Bluebeard, Luminous Places, What Now, and Where I Come From. I don’t know if she reads these comments but the final song on the album, Just The Same, is exceptional so it should be added to the set list. Patty always leaves us wanting more; I’d pay double or triple the ticket price for a longer show.
Opener Rustin Kelly was great too; sounds so much like Peter Bradley Adams.

I got to see Patty Griffin at the 930 Club again last night. My god this woman puts on a show! Don’t know why city traffic was so bad -but I got to listen to her new album 3 times before the show. And that’s mostly what she played, cuts from the new self-titled release. With just 3 musicians on stage, those other two guys are phenomenal players. Patty played guitar, sang and mandolin. Great volume too, not so loud earplugs were needed. Her opener, Ruston Kelly and his dad, T.K. were really good -had to buy his CD!

Hard to put into words how blessed we all were to witness such a rare talent showcase her gifts at such a wonderful venue. Griffin and the Haw River Ballroom felt like they were made for each other. Her backing musicians were top knotch, as you might expect, and the sound of her sweetly rich voice has only improved with time.

Suffering from Austin's worst (allergies), Austin's finest (Patty Griffin) had a little trouble at the beginning of the show belting out her iconic, and usually impeccable, vocal tone. Struggling to hit notes that most of us can't nail on our best days, she didn't let it shake her stage presence. You can really tell a seasoned musician from a novice in these moments at live shows. With a confident smile that acknowledged a near miss when her voice would slip away from an intended note, it became abundantly clear that Patty's voice may be cracking at times, but her spirit & stage presence would remain intact. Her smile all but said, "We all know this is situational". I would imagine even if it was your first time seeing her live that you would have surmised as much from her demeanor. This, however, was far from my first show to attend of hers though. This show would be somewhere in the ballpark of my 18th to 22nd time I've been so blessed as to have stood in awe of her talent. I'm the lucky guy who's all time favorite musician happens to live in the same city as he does, and she very consistently plays gigs locally. A few songs into her set, her voice begin to warm up, and it was as if she had removed the frog from her throat and squished it, because the last of her set was spot on and incredible. She played songs spanning from all of her albums, but definitely played heavily from her album 1000 Kisses. Which, is hands-down an incredible album and the one that got her a lot of initial radio airplay. Allergies in Austin are bitch, but not even they could stop Patty Griffin from really delivering a wonderful performance. I've seen Patty perform ALOT over these many years, and let me tell you, there is no such thing as a bad Patty Griffin concert. See her live if you ever get the chance!!!
