The Naked One

ENG: Over the years TNO have shared the stage with international bands and not, like I Set My Friends On Fire (USA), Confessions Of A Traitor (UK), Rosedale (CAN), Momma Knows Best (CZ), Go Ahead (GER), Brothers In Arms (GER), Shitake (GER), Stubborn (UK), Filippo Dallinferno (IT), Audrey (IT), Rhyme (IT), Frank Sent Us (IT), Dufresne (IT), Rookie (IT) and many more. "The Naked One" project is the evolution of the previous "Thirdroom" project formed by the guitarists Manuel Bordon and Federico Vaiente and the drummer Stefano Lovato and it officially started existing as a complete band since March 2009 when, after the entry of Eros Lapadula as vocalist and Mattia Ferrari as bassist, they started working on "Thrash Metal zones" on original stuff, recording one year later their first untitled demo at "Abnegat Records" recording studio (Vicenza, IT) which included the old tracks "War", "Expedition (September 11th Consequences)", "Fury", "You Will Be The Next" and "Destroy, Terrorize", but it has never been officially released. In 2010 they decided to change the original band name in "The Naked One", just to find a new easier, fresher and more modern name, perfectly in accord with the new playing, composing and living - music style adopted by the band, maybe a new style, far from the classic Thrash Metal. So they decided to adopt a funny - style name, as the new "The Naked One" was, a name which could represent them as more as possible and that's how, by the ashes of the old project, The Naked One was born. In 2011, on July, The Naked One started recording their first official Ep titled "Endless Party", at "Raptor Recording" recording studio (Vicenza, IT), released on May 01st (2012), which included the tracks "Desires", "Another Edge", "Shout For", "Destroy, Terrorize" and "This Is What I'm Looking For". Then the early steps of their first apparel - brand collaboration were started, getting sponsored by the new aggressive - lifestyle brand "neoFatal | Worn 2 Rip" from San Carlos (CA), created by Bill Scheppler and including Phil Demnel from Machine Head, Marta Peterson from Bleeding Through and Billy Graziadei from Biohazard. Then, on a Sunday (September 2nd, 2012), during the "Naked Party" (the best pool party ever, at "Villa Fiorita" in Arzignano, VI), by the direction, shootings and editing of Andrea Bettega from "holiday DRAMA", the first official videoclip shootings were taken due to the promotion of the unpublished new upcoming single "The Same Thing" (recorded at "Raptor Recording" recording studio as well, three days earlier). On Wednesday, October 31st (2012), The Naked One signed for their first engagement with "Jack Rock Agency" (an italian booking and management agency from Milan), becoming part of their band roster and in the same day they released the official videoclip for the new single "The Same Thing" in a release party where they shared the stage with Days Of Collapse, Fall Of Minerva and Unsteadycore at "Barbieturici Music Bar", in Arzignano (VI). But in 2013, on June, the drummer Stefano Lovato left the band due to personal reasons, letting Matteo Bonollo officially enter in the line up one month later. By now the new line up was: Eros Lapadula (Vocals), Manuel Bordon (Guitar/Vocals), Federico Vaiente (Guitar/Vocals), Mattia Ferrari (Bass Guitar) and Matteo Bonollo (Drums). So, they decided to start composing a lot of new stuff thought to be released in 2014. The band spent a lot of months in the rehearsal room at "Shoegaze Studio" (Arzignano, VI), composing new stuff and here their new record titled "Bitter Cold" (recorded at "Raptor Recording" recording studio, between February and March, 2014) came to life, a new debut Ep after the long fixing and composing break, after the new sound evolution process and the composing - style maturity gained, a new record that included the new tracks "Bitter Cold", "A Black Sheep", "The Head Of The Pack", "A Letter" and "This Need". On a Sunday, on March 30th (2014), at the "Dolimites District" (in San Martino Di Castrozza, in Trentino Alto Adige, IT), by the direction, shootings and editing of Andrea Bettega from "holiday DRAMA" and Simone Bressello, with the the collaboration of Daniele Bolzon from "Dustindustries" (for the make up matter, Werewolf) and of Valentina Parlato and Matteo Fragapane from "Ora D'Aria" acting company (actors), the shootings for the new official videoclip/single "Bitter Cold" were taken. "Bitter Cold" (title for the new Ep, single and videoclip as well), came out on Friday, November 14th (2014), with a release party at "La Voglia Matta Disco" (Arzignano, VI), that included the projection of the videoclip and bands like The Naked One, Days Of Collapse, Adrenalin/e and Sinatras on stage. Then the band got sponsored by the italian apparel brand "Pure V Clothing" (VE). In 2015, on Friday December 04th, by the direction, shootings and editing of Massimiliano De Domeneghi e Davide Nalon ("FULL HC"), they released their third official videoclip for the track "The Head Of The Pack" during a party/concert/release party for their frontman Eros Lapadula's 24th Birthday, at "Bar Viceversa" (Arzignano, VI), where they shared the stage with Flegiasoar, Save The Date and Days Of Collapse. After some random shows the band took some time off which, in 2016, finally brought to the loss (for personal reasons) of the 3/5 of the members of the line up: Federico Vaiente, Mattia Ferrari and Matteo Bonollo, forcing the band to look for new musicians for the vacant roles of guitarist, bassist and drummer. In 2017, on January, after exhausting audition sessions, the band has finally been born again from it's own ashes joining officially in the line up Leonardo Dalla Verde as drummer, Alessandro Bazzacco as guitarist and Mattia Dalla Benetta as bassist. In 2017, on December 15th, after many months of hard work and rehearsals the band, with the new line up, had it's new debut at the "Sottoscala Music Club" in Arzignano (VI) during a party/concert for their frontman Eros Lapadula's 26th Birthday, where they shared the stage with Blutbad, Rookie (with members from Derozer and Dufresne) and Larry's Emotion (with members from Helia), rockin' their own classic tracklist, proving one more time again of being always up to the expectations and giving new heat to the early flame that had always ran the band's soul. L'odierno progetto "The Naked One" costituisce l'evoluzione dell'iniziale progetto "Thirdroom", capitanato dai chitarristi Manuel Bordon e Federico Vaiente e dal batterista Stefano Lovato e iniziò ad esistere ufficialmente come band completa dal mese di Marzo del 2009 quando, dopo l'entrata in line up di Eros Lapadula alla voce e di Mattia Ferrari al basso, il quintetto inizia a lavorare in ambito fortemente Thrash Metal su materiale proprio, incidendo, un anno dopo, il primo demo presso "Abnegat Records" recording studio (Vicenza, IT), che incluse i vecchi pezzi "War", "Expedition (September 11th Consequences)", "Fury", "You Will Be The Next" e "Destroy, Terrorize", demo al quale non fu mai dato un titolo e che non uscì mai ufficialmente. Ma è nel 2010 che si decise di cambiare il nome in "The Naked One" (che sta a significare "il nudo" o "quello nudo"), tentativo di trovare un nuovo nome dalla sonorità più fresca e più moderna, dalla più semplice pronunciabilità e memorizzabilità rispetto al precedente e perfettamente in accordo con il nuovo stile maturato nel dal quintetto, uno stile nuovo, ormai distante dal classico Thrash Metal. Fu così che si decise di adottare un nome ironico, comico, come era appunto "The Naked One", un nome pensato perchè potesse rappresentarli il più possibile. Così, dalle ceneri del vecchio progetto nacquero i The Naked One. E' solo nel Luglio 2011 che i The Naked One iniziano ad incidere il primo Ep ufficiale, "Endless Party", presso il "Raptor Recording" recording studio, (Vicenza, IT), uscito poi il 01 Maggio del 2012 e contenente pezzi come "Desires", "Another Edge", "Shout For", "Destroy, Terrorize" e "This Is What I'm Looking For". Iniziano poi i primi passi per la prima collaborazione con un brand di abbigliamento ottenendo, direttamente da San Carlos, CA, il supporto di "neoFatal | Worn 2 Rip", un nuovo brand dedicato allo stile di vita aggressivo creato da Bill Scheppler, e avente tra le sue schiere Phil Demnel dei Machine Head, Marta Peterson dei Bleeding Through e Billy Graziadei dei Biohazard. Domenica 02 Settembre del 2012, in occasione del "Naked Party", la miglior festa in piscina di sempre organizzata a "Villa Fiorita" (Arzignano, VI) e curata e sponsorizzata interamente da band e amici, alla regia, riprese e montaggio di Andrea Bettega di "holiday DRAMA" vengono girate le riprese del primo vidoclip ufficiale tratto dall'inedito singolo (esterno a "Endless Party") intitolato "The Same Thing", (inciso ancora presso il "Raptor Recording" recording studio tre giorni prima). Mercoledì 31 Ottobre 2012 i The Naked One firmano il contratto per il loro primo ingaggio di booking & management con "Jack Rock Agency" (agenzia di booking di Milano affiliata all'etichetta "Bagana Rock Agency"), entrandone così a far parte del roster e nello stesso giorno esce il videoclip ufficiale del singolo "The Same Thing", lanciato con un release party nel quale la band condivide il palco con Days Of Collapse, Fall Of Minerva ed Unsteadycore, presso il "Barbieturici Music Bar", ad Arzignano (VI). Nel mese di Giugno del 2013 il batterista Stefano Lovato, per motivi personali, decide di lasciare il progetto in favore della new entry Matteo Bonollo, entrato in formazione esattamente un mese dopo. Ora, la nuova formazione dei The Naked One vedeva Eros Lapadula alla voce, Manuel Bordon e Federico Vaiente alle chitarre e ai cori, Mattia Ferrari al basso e Matteo Bonollo alla batteria. Da qui la band decide iniziare a comporre del nuovo materiale, programmando l'uscita della nuova fatica nel 2014 accompagnata da nuovi videoclip ufficiali, nuove grafiche, photoshoot e merchandise. Così il quintetto trascorre mesi in sala prove presso lo "Shoegaze Studio" di Arzignano (VI) proseguendo la stesura del nuovo materiale, ed è qui che prende vita l'ultima fatica in studio intitolata poi "Bitter Cold" (anch'esso registrato presso "Raptor Recording" recording studio tra i mesi di Febbraio e Marzo 2014), nuovo Ep inteso a sancire il nuovo debutto dei The Naked One dopo la lunga pausa di riassestamento e dopo la nuova maturità compositiva acquisita e che includerà le nuove tracce "Bitter Cold", "A Black Sheep", "The Head Of The Pack", "A Letter" e "This Need". Domenica 30 Marzo 2014 vengono girate le riprese del nuovo videoclip ufficiale (presso il "Comprensorio Delle Dolomiti", sotto le tre pale di San Martino Di Castrozza, in Trentino Alto Adige), tratto dal singolo "Bitter Cold", alla regia, riprese e montaggio di Andrea Bettega di "holiday DRAMA" e Simone Bressello, con la partecipazione di Daniele Bolzon di "Dustindustries" per il make up (Licantropo) e Valentina Parlato e Matteo Fragapane della compagnia teatrale "Ora D'Aria" come attori. Quindi "Bitter Cold", titolo del nuovo Ep, del singolo e del nuovo videoclip da esso tratto, esce il 14 Novembre 2014 in occasione di un release party onorario presso "La Voglia Matta Disco" (Arzignano, VI), con la proiezione del videoclip e con grandi bands come The Naked One, Days Of Collapse, Adrenalin/e e Sinatras sullo stage. La band ottiene poi il supporto del brand veneziano "Pure V Clothing". Nel Venerdì 04 Dicembre del 2015, alla regia, riprese e montaggio di Massimiliano De Domeneghi e Davide Nalon ("FULL HC"), esce il terzo videoclip ufficiale tratto dal brano "The Head Of The Pack" in occasione della festa/concerto/release party per il ventiquattresimo compleanno del frontman Eros Lapadula presso "Bar Viceversa" (Arzignano, VI), dove la band condivide il palco con Flegiasoar, Save The Date e Days Of Collapse. Dopo qualche tempo la band rivendicò un piccolo periodo di pausa dall'attività live e compositiva che nel 2016 culminò con la dipartita dalla formazione, per motivi personali, di 3/5 dei componenti: del chitarrista Federico Vaiente, del bassista Mattia Ferrari e del batterista Matteo Bonollo. E' solo nel Gennaio 2017 che la band risorge dalle proprie ceneri quando, dopo un'estenuante ricerca dei tre componenti mancanti ed innumerevoli provini, alla fine incorpora ufficialmente Leonardo Dalla Verde alla batteria, Alessandro Bazzacco alla chitarra e Mattia Dalla Benetta al basso. Il 15 Dicembre 2017, dopo quasi un anno di duro lavoro in sala prove, la band fa nuovamente il suo debutto sulle scene con la rinnovata formazione presso il "Sottoscala Music Club" di Arzignano (VI), in occasione della festa/concerto per il ventiseiesimo compleanno del frontman Eros Lapadula, condividendo lo stage con i fratelli di sangue Blutbad, con i Rookie (con membri di Derozer e Dufresne) e con i Larry's Emotion (con membri di Helia), dando nuovamente prova di essere sempre all'altezza delle aspettative riproponendo tutto il classico repertorio della band e dando nuovo vigore alla fiamma che sin dagli albori ha sempre caratterizzato lo spirito della band.
