Mother Function

Mother Function is a rock band that formed in May of 2011 in the Orange County area. This quartet consists of lead vocalist Jaron Moore, guitarist Harrison Moore-Kondo, guitarist and backing vocalist Trevor Moore, and drummer Casey Brown. Close friends, Harrison Moore-Kondo and Casey Brown, had known each other for years before Mother Function. They had even been in bands together, such as Maggie and the Maggots. Harrison and Casey met Jaron Moore freshmen year of highschool when they all started attending OCHSA (Orange County High School of the Arts). The three became good friends in their math class. When they were learning about graphs, the teacher pointed to one of the equations and said, “This is a mother function.” That math class named the band.
