The Steepwater Band

The Groove is a smaller venue with a very small stage. They didn't allow Joe to use his drum kit, just his snare and cymbals. The toms and bass drum were house equipment as were (at least some) of the amps. Despite these handicaps, the band played an amazing set. There were no tapes, laptops, and click tracks. The band is super tight and they don't phone it in. While there were only about 30 people in the place, they played as if it was a packed house. They played what was close to a greatest hits set and threw in 2 covers. The first was Sway, which is a nod to The Rolling Stones who were also playing in the area that night. The second was Positively 4th by Bob Dylan. While they were rushed out by the Groove management because another artist was coming in, they managed to maintain composure getting their gear stored back in their van while navigating the narrows between the tables and bar. Very friendly and humble guys. If you ever get a chance to see them, please do. You won't be disappointed. On a different note, the food and drink at the venue were very good. The service could've been a little more attentive, but was otherwise fine.

Steepwater played a great show at a very unique setting. The show was on the rooftop, the band was smoking and the beers were cheap! What more could you ask for?

Absolutely spectacular as usual. These guys are right up there with the Stones, the Black Crowes, the Faces, and so on. Just go - you will not be disappointed - your jaw will be on the floor.

This was my second time seeing them. They were Fantastic!!! Especially their last song, cover from Neil Young's Down By The River, and High And Humble!

This is a true original rock n’ roll band! I’ve seen them all over the country and they never disappoint! All of their albums are just spectacular!! Highly recommended from someone who has seen thousands of concerts and played in a band myself.

Love their music. I'm always in awe everytime I see them play. Their talent is amazing.

Music was great and was glad to see them again, had been 5-6 yrs since last show. My only complaint would be that the band needs a better sound tech. Vocals were muddy, and bass drum was annoying to say the least.

What a fantastic band! Hard rocking blues ever heard. This band works as hard as they can to entertain the audience. A must see for all bluesrock fanatics. Go there if they are in your area!!!!!!!

Great show, great venue. I wish Steepwater didn't do quite so many covers. I want to hear TSB songs, not someone else's.
