About Mike Mancy
Mike Mancy got his start playing & writing in both L.A. and Nashville in 1996. Originally from Houston, Mike has lived all over Texas and now he is based out of Dallas/Ft. Worth. Mike headlines most of his shows but over the years has shared the stage with nearly every Texas/Red Dirt band in the country.
Mike Released two projects in 2000, "Let the Party Begin" and "Live at Poor David's Pub" and after some success, found some investors to release his true debut album, 'Uneven Ground', in 2004. He recorded Uneven Ground with Adam Odor at Cedar Creek Studios in Austin Texas. The album was filled with talented musician friends, Roger Ray and Noah Jeffries from Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Cody Braun from Reckless Kelly, Stoney Larue on Harmonies, and others. 7 of the 14 tracks on Uneven Ground were played on 150 radio stations across 30 states. Two of the 7 songs reached Top 25 and two reached Top 50.
In the fall of 2006, the Mike Mancy Band performed with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders for the CMT series 'Making the Squad', and he also sang the National Anthem at a sold-out Dallas Stars Hockey Game. "Let it Roll" was in two movies shortly after the single released, "The Ranch" and "Decisions". In recent news, Mike's single "Right Kind of Wrong" will be in a movie called, "University of Las Colinas", which will release in late 2019.
Mike's album, 'Blue Sky' was released in 2010, with first single 'Blue Sky'. 'Blame It On Me' and 'Too Far Away' were the follow up singles. Shortly after the release of "Too Far Away" in 2012, Mike suffered a wrist injury that took him off of the radio circuit and tour for a few years. Now completely healed, Mike is currently playing shows and festivals across Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
Mike recorded an EP with Mike McClure of the Great Divide in 2021 and is continuing to write, and will be recording more songs in the Spring of 2023.
