About Liam Brew
Liam Brew is country to the bone. From music to trucks, song writing to vacation choices, Brew brings it all back to the country. This Aussie “larrikin” got his big break in January 2009 when he took out the coveted 30th Toyota Star Maker title. His raw and honest storytelling, coupled with his cheeky demeanour and obvious knack for live performance, immediately established him as one to watch on the Australian music landscape.
The following eight months was a whirlwind of touring that lead to the release of his debut album ‘Wild Heart’. The record cemented Brew’s credentials garnering a finalist spot in the 2010 Golden Guitar Awards. The album featured the hit single ‘Doghouse’ that remains a fan favourite to this day.
Liam's follow-up album ‘Faster’ was released in 2013, giving him is first ARIA Country Album Chart position. Brew decided after this release that it was time for him to hone his craft on the road. Between 2013 and 2018 he has toured relentlessly with some of Australia’s finest. Supporting names like Adam Brand, James Blundell, Lee Kernaghan and The McClymonts, he has amassed a committed fanbase across the country. He also played the inaugural ‘CMC Rocks’, sharing the bill with US superstars Alan Jackson, Joe Nichols & Jack Ingram.
With many of the pieces of the puzzle in place, 2018 saw Brew hit the studio with exciting Sydney-based producer Michael Carpenter to work on his new single ‘A Few More Dirt Roads’ with an eye to a 2019 release. The single hit in May 2019 and in the space of a week became his most streamed single to date, proving yet again that Liam Brew is the real deal. Fast forward to 2020 and that track has almost half a million streams on Spotify and cracked both the Airplay and CMC top 30 charts.
Brew was booked on a 50+ date tour with Aussie star Travis Collins for 2020 until the COVID-19 lockdown forced a postponement. In lieu of that tour, Brew found a way to collaborate remotely with his producer with the follow up single ‘Kick It Tomorrow’ released in June 2020.
