MC SAS has become one of Northwest biggest names in Drum & Bass working with legends from the minute he picked up a microphone starting in 1997 with Kemistry and Storm.
Carving his mark on the early Manchester and Liverpool Drum and Bass club scene Curtis Holligan aka MC SAS / Talking Drums has possible played with them all and is known for being a major influence on the North West of the Uk’s scene and beyond as far reaching as Austria. His unique flow is guaranteed to send shivers down the spine of even the most seasoned raver, hyping crowd's to euphoric peaks while his linguistic agility see’s him switch his style to fit the entire spectrum of Drum & Bass complimenting any DJ or live show. SAS’s intense performances have seen the exciting artist connect with crowds all over Europe at festivals like Beats For Love, Creamfields, Glade, Pressure Festival and club nights in and around Europe Like ‘’Flex'' (Vienna) ‘’Morphed'' ( Linz) ''MainFrame’’ (Vienna) Chibuku, Fabric ( Liverpool) performing alongside the likes of Kemistry & Storm, Sigma Futurebound & Matrix, Goldie, Grooverider, Mampi Swift, Dizast, Shimmon, Andy C, Randall, Fabio, Taxman, Icicle, Noisia, Joker, DRS, Tonn Piper, MC FUN, Skibadee,IC3, Delta Heavy, Mc Coppa, Jenna G, Kasra and Icicle to name a few.
2011 seen MC SAS at the BBC’S legendary Maida Vale and Abbey Road Recording Studios after being shortlisted by BBC Introducing's Dave Monks who selected one of his early forays into production as one of the tracks of the year. 'One Of Those Days’ was released as a free download and reception led to the inspiration to launch his imprint, Sleep Less Records Uk in 2011 going on to be nominated for the Best New label Category 2013 at the Drum & Bass Awards.
After studying Audio Production the re launch of Sleep Less Records is fast approaching in 2017 and the word is already spreading about SAS’s new lyrical EP, sneak peeks of the new unreleased content had being seen and tweeted by the likes of Foreign Beggars, Shogun Audio and Brapp TV and with only a 16 bar taste of his new servings published on the site, there has already been a surge of emails from promoters booking MC SAS for limited dates in 2017.
