Summer 2007 "THE BEGINNING'": Noumeno project was born during the summer of 2007 in Rome from an idea of Emiliano Cantiano (drums) and Danilo Carrabino(guitar).After performing many studio jam sessions they decided to start up a new instrumental band encapsulating their main musical influences (Meshuggah, Liquid Tension Experiment, Spastic Ink, Symphony X, Cacophony, Racer X, Cynic, Death). On September 2007 other two members joined the band: the guitar player Fabrizio Agabiti, who had already collaborated with Emiliano some year before, and the bass player Emanuele Calvelli, ex Soul Light member and the current bass player of Pumpkin's Rays where Emiliano plays drums. The band started working with the material formerly written by Emiliano and Danilo, by adding new musical ideas and adaptations of Fabrizio and Emanuele. DECEMBER 2007 "THE FIRST RELEASE,AND THE FIRST GIGS" The 27th of December 2007 the four members of the band began recording their first four-tracks-demo at the Vertigò studios in Rome with the valuable collaboration of Daniele Martinuzzi. On the 8th February 2008 the band played its first live gig at the Jailbreak pub in Rome for a bang-up last minute night organized by MetalMassacre. During the subsequent months the band kept on performing live gigs with other important Italian metal bands like Illogicist and Chaoswave, and took part in great musical events like Power-Prog festival, organized by MetalMassacre, with a lot of claimed Roman bands like Karnya, Astarte Syriaca, Nova Season, Heavenlust, Lunarsea and more... On the 20th of May 2008 the band had also the honour to play in one of the most important rock club in Italy, Stazione Birra, which guested a lot of top artists in the world like: Paul Gilbert, Greg Howe, Brett Garsed, Billy Sheehan, Virgil Donati, Tommy Emmanuel and so on. During their first months of musical activity Noumeno started obtaining responses by radios and press too. Between 2008 and 2009, Noumeno performed more than 20 live shows, during which they distributed more than 500 free copies of their demo. During the Metal Meating Festival, organized in Rome on the 11th of October by Get Rocked, A.L. Produzioni and Chiara Pellegrini, the band shared the stage with many famed bands such as: Vision Divine, Elvenking, Eldritch, Illogicist, Enemynside and Astarte Syriaca. DECEMBER 2009 "TRAPPED: THE DEBUT ALBUM" Noumeno, in collaboration with their sound engineer Daniele Martinuzzi, finished recording their first full length album named "Trapped" in November 2009: it features one of the best keyboard player in the world, Vitalij Kuprij, and the great Italian guitarist Francesco Fareri. "Trapped" has been officially presented on the 20th of December 2009 during a festival organized by the MetalMassacre in Rome in front of over 250 people: under the UKDivison Records, it is distributed worldwide by New Music Distribution through the management of Alkemist Fanatix Europe.
