May Be Better

I May Be Better sono un gruppo rock attivo ufficialmente dal 2007, con il raggiungimento della line up definitiva. Nello stesso anno i 4 alessandrini, classe 1986, decidono di registrare un primo demo autoprodotto di ispirazione post grunge sia nei suoni che nelle melodie, nel quale svelano i gruppi di riferimento, tra cui Nirvana, Puddle of Mudd, Smile empty soul, American Hi-fi e Oasis, nonché gli italiani Verdena. Il loro primo demo riscuote un notevole successo sulla scena locale consentendo alla band di salire su palchi importanti insieme a J-Ax, Gem Boy, Orange e di partecipare a molti festival regionali e non solo. Nel 2009 vengono notati ad un concerto novarese da Dave Timson, e vengono invitati a lavorare presso i suoi 20fingerslab per la produzione, curata anche da Mik Lennard e terminata presso gli studi di Officina Sonora da Davide Turbino, del loro primo Ep ufficiale, contenente 5 tracce di grande maturità nel quale la band svela un suono decisamente più personale. Il suono fresco e ruvido di Borderline, questo il titolo, gli varrà la scelta, a Marzo 2011, come debut act di Gas Station, la nuova divisione di Hertz Brigade Records. L’Ep, che sarà disponibile dal 21 Aprile 2011, è l’inizio del percorso discografico finalizzato alla realizzazione ed al lancio del loro album di debutto sulla scena internazionale. Il 10 febbraio è uscito il loro primo video ufficiale diretto da Sbrokked Production e tratto dal singolo inedito "Rich Enough". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ENGLISH VERSION May Be Better history starts in 2007, when the band reach their final line-up. During the same year the 4 guys, coming from Alessandria (NW Italy) and now aged 24, give birth to their first, self-produced Ep, inspired by post grunge music and revealing their influences, Nirvana, Puddle of Mudd, Smile empty soul, American Hi-fi e Oasis to name but a few. The demo gets much attention on the local music scene, and allows the guys playing a few important gigs and festivals, often opening acts of national relevance. In 2009 during a gig in Novara they attract the attention of Dave Timson, who invites them to his 20fingerslab studios to work, together with Mik Lennard, to the production of their first official Ep, then finalised by Davide Turbino at Officina Sonora in Turin. The Ep contains 5 tracks, revealing grown attitude and a much more personal sound. The Ep, titled Borderline, sounds fresh and rude, and gives the band the chance to be chosen as debut act on Gas Station, the new division of Hertz Brigade Records. “Borderline” will be available from April 21st 2011, and is the first step on the road to the release of their debut album on the international scene.
