The sound was absolutely Fantastic and the band was tighter than a shoelace tied by a sailor! They played a good variety of their discography but unfortunately no "Raven" but that just means I have to see them again! Gogo Penguin wouldn't be a thing without the tight, precise and engaged co-playing of Chris, Nick and Jon. They produce such a cohesive wall of music, absolutely captivating. Seeing them perform live, doing it without loosing their cool is quite daunting. L'Auditori is also a fantastic venue, with a world class acoustic...

Okay - a few things first. I really love their music and have seen them quite a few times in the past, starting when they were playing pretty small venues and followed them as the venues have gotten larger. One of my favourites was at the Barbican for the Koyaanisqatsi evening - with which the Outernet performance had some similarities) and one of the small events. Their playing was, as always, entrancing and varied and just pretty plain wonderful. The accompanying graphic interpretation was pretty good too - just a shame that I ended up watching quite a bit of it on one of the (not very well colour balanced) monitors positioned on the columns. Being a standing only venue with a flat floor, unless you're over 6 foot, it's virtually impossible to get a decent view of the proceedings. True if you get there as doors open and get a position on the balcony - but then if you're solo ( as I was) you then can't get a drink/go to bathroom etc without losing your spot. Btw - the bar facilities are excellent (as are the toilets) and coped with the capacity crowd very well. Prices as you'd expect of central London venue. Also if you're of a certain age (I'm 67) standing around for hours isn't great. Sadly - I ended up leaving early as there was Rail Replacement after the 2309 train (I live out near Cambridge) and I wanted to avoid that . . . To summarise, GGP as great as ever, the visuals very good, the venue probably not my favourite, but then at my age maybe I should stick to seated venues!

Another outstanding performance by the superb trio. It was evident by the difference in numbers of the audience from the last time I saw them 2 years ago that their popularity has increased enormously. The venue was great too with friendly staff.

Small festival with a free stage and a ticketed stage - all very convivial - GoGo Penguin set fire to the place; you know you are doing something right when you get young French teenagers up and dancing in front of the stage, and then draw the whole audience out of their seats to join in the dancing. Excellent!

First time watching GoGo Penguin live and first time in Roundhouse for a gig, I absolutely loved it. The venue was great, spacious, airy and good in terms of acoustics. And the band was ace.

Purely incredible; thank you. Consummate musicians, performers and songwriters. That version of Break nearly melted me. Handled an unfortunate, technical disruption like champs; just like everything's-going-to-be-okay and then it was—very ok. (Did they give you the pedals? They should probably send you the pedals.) Please, come back any time!

they had great energy and were served well by the more intimate venue. we were right in front by the drums and bass and the sound and reverberation of the upright was fantastic! i think upright bass has become my favorite instrument now, althought reid anderson of the bad plus has had much to do with my affection for the instrument, and then there's the fact that my son plays upright in the school jazz ensemble. but this show solidified my enthusiasm. the bass was never lost in the mix and it was felt right through my body. by the end of the show, my boys were head banging while a young woman on the piano side of the stage was crying tears of joy, it was a beautiful human experience. i was thrilled to have shared it with one of my boys as a birthday present - and he even got signatures of all three of the members. fabulous - so grateful!

GoGo Penquin and the support were absolutely fantastic, the sound and lighting, however, not so much. The double bass had been amplified so much that it sounded incredibly thick which drowned it's other notes. This combined with an also heavily thick bass from the kick drum made for a very muddy sound from the double bass often making it undetectable and veiled behind the drums. Lighting on stage was fine, the lighting tech appears to have been asleep for the lights pointing towards the audience. It's a great shame.

Absolument bluffant de la première partie jusqu’à la fin du concert. Gaspar Claus, en première partie méritait tout autant d’avoir son concert. Gogo Penguin excelle sur scène, un groupe qu’il faut voir au moins une fois dans sa vie.

I‘ m just in the middle of watching the stream. Ultracool jazz sounds and GGP are great. Watched last year „stream only“ concert, but this is even better. Look forward to seeing them live live, I think there’s a concert here in Berlin in spring

Phenomenal show. Mixing up tracks from their latest album with older favourites and even one recently recorded, Gogo Penguin smashed it out the park. Playing to a very appreciative crowd at a fantastic venue, the trio were tight despite apologising for rustiness after the enforced 2 year break from live touring. New drummer Jon Scott fit into the trio superbly. Two standing ovations awarded the band at the end of their performance. Well worth watching particularly in an intimate venue such as Peggy's.

Best original music I’ve heard for a very long time. Jazz on the cutting edge as it should be . Brilliant concert . Come back to London anytime 🙏🏻

It was awesome. This band just fit in this environment. I saw them once in Round House in London and I must say it's a totally different experience. I cannot wait for the next concert in Copenhagen. Well done guys.

This was a mind blowing concert. They played with total conviction and passion. Met the guys aftereards, who were completely down to earth, signed my cd and gained a couple of new fans in my kids. Thanks for a great concert!

Gogo Penguin were fantastic, their sound guy was top notch, however the Rex was too small a venue, they deserved a larger space that allowed unobstructed views. Still, the Rex sounded great, tasty food and lovely staff. Very glad they made their first trip to Toronto for the 2018 Toronto Jazz Festival!
