Tilt X

TILT X are an Austrian rock/metal formed in Vienna in 2002. The group consists of Erich Glanz (vocals and guitar), Manfred Gold (guitar), Werner Gold (bass) and Mario Mersich (drums) and evolve from a solo project of Erich Glanz. Due to the fact that the work on their first 4-track EP “Life Returns” concentrated on recording songs already composed by Erich Glanz at the time, the music on Life Returns was clearly influenced by pop rock tendencies. The following years were spent predominantly be presenting their music to live audiences all over Austria and neighboring countries. In 2004 TILT X reached the national finals of Emergenza Festival, where they finished on 4th place, which ‘Metal News Austria’ credited by the words “Awesome performance”. In the same year the Song “She’s The One” from “Life Returns” was featured on the television show “SOKO Donau” broadcasted by the Austrian national public service broadcaster ‘ORF’. In 2005 TILT X advanced to the finals of ‘America is Waiting’ contest and in 2006 they went as far as the semi-finals in the nation-wide Austrian Band Contest. In 2007 the band started working on their sound and style which led to the production of their first full length album “Resurrection” which was released on November 19th 2010. The heavier and more sophisticated sound of the new album leads TILT X to new directions which they will as of now perform live on stages all over the World.
