Amazing classy venue. I would travel/fly somewhere to see them again. I'm figuring it out. That's how impressed I was. Don was obviously knows a lot of great musicians. Blues for Allah got me in the door but now I'm a huge fan of the band.

Don want to show his appreciation for the crowd Who showed up With temperature being in the single digits with high wind gusts creating less than ideal conditions he had a meet & greet for EVERYONE show stayed after the show Ps needless to say it WAS a night to remember Dancin Dave 😎

Sadly, it was sold out and l couldn’t go.

Had never seen any of these superb musicians, and they by far exceeded my expectations.

The small venue was perfect! The musicians are the best there is! The room was loving the vibes and it seemed Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble were too. Would love to experience this again!

Caught Don Was and The Pan-Detroit Ensemble at the legendary Blue Note Tokyo on 9/25— what a night, what a show on! The absolute standout was their take on Jerry Garcia’s “Loser”, with Steffanie Christian putting her own soul into every note. Incredible vibe, amazing musicianship all around — just unforgettable.

Splendid. One complaint. I could not hear the vocals. The sound was otherwise fantastic. Don was a great host. Every player was virtuosic and their ensemble playing was stellar.

Excellent show! Yusef Lateef, Hank Williams, and Curtis Mayfield covers in one night!!
