DJ CP Cédric Piret

Cedric Piret aka CP started his career around the beginning of the nineties. Influenced by music in it's many forms from an early age, Cedric carries this diversity over into his style of programming and record selection. He was working for 12 years in one of the biggest vinyl shop of Europe called Extrazone. It was also at the store that he first came into contact with Pole Folder. Discovering a shared love for music and a mutual respect for each other, CP entered the studio with Benoit, the former's musical ideas combining with the latter's production skills to create tracks that could move the dancefloor, whilst being accessible outside of the club environment. Their debut release 'Apollo Vibes' as Pole Folder & CP is testament to this, capturing the imagination of many and the attention of DJ John Digweed who has been a big supporter of the duo's releases, kicking of his Los Angeles Global Underground mix compilation with the track, signing them to a multi single deal on his highly respected label Bedrock. Apollo Vibes was also featured on the original soundtrack of the american movie ‘The Rave'. Their release ‘Dust', also featured on Digweed's MMII mix compilation, was used as a television station Channel 4 trailer tune. Having played at all the famous Belgian clubs and running his own monthly show called "Expressions" on Frisky Radio, Cedric has held down residencies, including a six years residency at one of the country's biggest nightclub, ‘The Palladium'. Other notable dj slots were held at ‘Tao After Club', ‘Baramundi' and also with Pole Folder at Factory and in Eindhoven at Clubeclips. Some notable guest sets where performed at Fuse where he has warmed for John Digweed himself or at Café d’Anvers with Pole Folder for the Sasha Involver Tour. Some international dj booking where held from Greece, Switzerland, England, Germany, Roumania, Russia and Monaco to Mexico. Today he is art director and resident dj of the new monthly concept Pulse Factory Renaissance in one of the most famous club in Belgium called Pulse Factory (http://www.pulse-factory.com). He also created 2 mix cd compilations for the club. Influencé par la musique sous toutes ses formes dès son plus jeune âge, Cédric utilise cette diversité dans son style au niveau de la programmation et de sa sélection musicale. Il a travaillé durant 12 ans dans l’un des plus grand magasin de vinyles d’Europe appelé Extrazone . C’est également dans ce magasin qu’il entra en contact avec Pole Folder. Partageant le même amour pour la musique et avec un respect mutuel, CP entra en studio avec Benoit afin de combiner une série d’idées musicales originales et accessibles en dehors de l’environnement du clubbing. Leur première sortie ‘Apollo Vibes ‘ en tant que Pole Folder & CP fut le résultat de leur travail. Ce premier morceau attira l’attention de John Digweed qui fut un fervent supporter de chacune des sorties de ce duo en offrant une signature pour plusieurs releases sur son très respecté label Bedrock. Il ouvrit sa compilation Global Underground Los Angeles avec celui-ci. Apollo Vibes fut également utilisé pour la bande originale du film américain ‘Flagrant Délire’. Leur 2ème sortie ‘Dust’ apparu sur la compilation John Digweed MMII et fut utilisée pour le trailer de la télévision nationale anglaise Channel 4. Ayant joué dans la plupart des plus grands clubs belges tels que le ‘Boccaccio’, ‘La Rocca’ ou encore ‘La Bush’, et animant son propre show appelé "Expressions" sur Frisky Radio, Cédric a également quelques résidences à son actif telles que le Palladium où il travailla pendant 6 ans ou encore le Tao After Club, le Baramundi mais aussi le Factory à Bruxelles et le Clubeclips à Eindhoven avec Pole Folder. Il fit également le warming up de John Digweed au Fuse et celui de Sasha pour sa tournée Involver au Café d’Anvers. Cédric est également présent sur la scène internationale avec des dj sets en Grèce, en Suisse, en Angleterre, en Allemagne, en Roumanie, en Russie, à Monaco, au Mexique... Aujourd'hui il est directeur artistique et dj résident du nouveau concept mensuel Pulse Factory Renaissance dans un célèbre club belge appelé Pulse Factory (http://www.pulse-factory.com). Il créa également 2 compilations cd mixées pour ce club. Le Pulse Factory est spécial de part sa qualité musicale, ses shows visuels et également par la qualité des guests djs internationaux qui y sont invités tels que Kosmas Epsilon, Matthew Dekay, Gabriel Ananda, Gregor Tresher, Guy Gerber, Guy J, Nick Curly, Popof, Criss Source, Marc O'Tool, Pole Folder,...
