About Chemia

Reviews:
“(...) The band are evidently influenced by classic rockers (...) However, to my ears, they sound a whole lot fresher and slightly less calculated so don’t let those comparisons put you off.”
- David Randall (GTRTR! HQ)

"The album is full of well written, well played, blues tinged classic Rock, with some lighters in the air moments and some very good foot tapping Hard Rock."
- Iron Mathew (Metal Temple)

“(...) the gents have delivered a record that is at once very likeable, credible and versatile; it’ll infect a hell of a lot of markets, reminding rockers why they like verse-choruses, and poppers why they like guitars”
- Rhiannon Marley
(POWER Rock&Metal magazine UK)

“(...) in relation to the band name CHEMIA (Polish for chemistry), it has about the same stimulating effect as the chemical formula of caffeine.”
- Eckart Maronde (Metal.de)

“The musical quality is there - "The One Inside" convinces all along the line.”
- Steve Braun (Rocktimes.de)

“(... )these guys blew me away when they played at Maxwell’s in Kitchener Ontario Canada ! Can't wait to open for you guys again soon.”
- Jennifer Cole (YouTube)

Chemia is a Warsaw hard rock band, created in 2010 by Wojtek Balczun. The last album called “Let Me” with special guest appearance of Brent Fitz (Slash and Gene Simmons drummer) was released 18 September 2015. “Let me” was full of energetic riffs, that work great during concerts. It was also created in cooperation with legendary producer Mike Fraser, who recorded and mixed for bands such as Led Zeppelin, Metallica, AC/DC or Aerosmith. The band promoted “Let me” by supporting SKINDRED. Chemia visited UK, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Czech Republic. The band played in legendary venues in Hollywood and Los Angeles such as Hard Rock Cafe in 2014 or the Viper Room in 2017. In Poland, Chemia supported such stars as Guns and Roses, Deep Purple, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. In 2016 the band was chosen as the “band of the year” according to the vote by listeners of Antyradio - the biggest rock radio station in Poland. In 2016 vocalist Lukasz Luke Drapala left the band. In 2018 Drapała returns and the band, with its renewed setup, gets down to work on the new album. New acoustic album recorded at Antyradio will be released later this year. Up until now, Chemia released following albums - 02, In the Eye (EP), The One Inside, Let me, and Antyradio Unplugged.
