The Hudson Valley’s premier heavy metal band is Everwar! Everwar is living proof that raw talent, ambition and honesty can still prevail in an ailing music industry. First and foremost, these guys are fans. Growing up listening to their favorite bands would inevitably bring them together. By aligning their unwavering dedication to the do-it-yourself work ethic with a signature sound, guitarist Duane Lopez, drummer Lou Iuzzini, bassist Jeremy Yela and singer Dennis Marlatt have helped to define the landscape of today’s heavy metal music scene. The backbone of their work? Badass, original, old school heavy metal tunes! In 2010, their first full length album, “When Light Begins to Fade,” created a prodigious word on the street about them. These professional players quickly became known as the “go-to” band for many venues around the area. Their fan base rapidly swelled due to their live shows and interaction with their loyal fans – Everwarriors! Their sophomore effort, “Incinerate,” blew the doors open for Everwar. The unrestrained melodies, tremendous guitar riffs, and the thunderous sonic pillars of the drums and bass instantly gave them the stage credibility to share the spotlight with many national acts including Mad Ball, Ill Nino, Jake E. Lee, Tom Keifer, Queensryche, Skid Row, Trivium, Lacuna Coil, Ted Nugent and Ace Frehley, just to name a few.
