Hike for a Hero

ESPAÑOL: Hike For a Hero se formó a finales del 2010, cuando Julian Escorcia (Bajo) y Helberth Gomez (Guitarra) se reunieron para empezar una banda con influencias de pop punk mezclado con hardcore, primero se dedicaron a buscar a las demás personas que en el futuro integrarían la banda. Helberth introdujo a Giancarlo (Guitarra) que ya venía tocando con el en un proyecto anterior que tenían juntos, después de eso, los 3 siguieron su búsqueda por integrantes y contactaron a Jorge el cual también trajo consigo a Adrian Solis (Synths) y a Juan Camilo Gomez (batería), por un momento la banda estaba formada pero los fundadores de la banda sentían que hacía falta algo más concreto musicalmente hablando. Después de muchos altibajos, gente que entró y salió de Hike For A Hero se conformó la línea la cual que está ahora conformada por Carlos Saldarriaga (Vocalista), Nicolás Rozo (Bateria), Dave Arango (Guitarra) , Helberth Gomez (Guitarra) , Adrian (Synth & background screams) , Bam Escorcia (Bajo). La banda desde hace sus inicios tiene su propio estilo el cual intenta innovar puesto que el sonido 'Core' actual en la localidad les parecía muy monótono para lo que proponen en Barranquilla. Siempre nos pareció interesante buscar alguna forma de crear nuestro propio sonido que nos diferenciara de las demás bandas en la escena. Por esto recurrimos a sonidos urbanos originarios de Inglaterra como el Dubstep y Drum&Bass. De igual forma incluir instrumentos que contraste con los sonidos del Post-Hardcore tales como strings, piano clásico y tonos electrónicos. La Banda inició con su primer Sencillo "It's Carnival VS. Circus" esta canción tiene influencia Dubstep y consigo lleva ese toque de sonido de circo o típico carnaval americano de los años 30, y como han podido notar no es algo muy común dentro del género. Hasta el momento tenemos varias canciones compuestas y un EP terminado, este año grabaremos nuestro pimer full lenght; mas nuestro intro que esta rediseñado para incluir mas nuestro sonido. Son canciones poco convencionales en su estructura musical, como por ejemplo "Mademoiselle", esta canción cuenta con influencia Drum&Bass en su intro, y paulatinamente va cambiando y entran el juego los strings y piano que le dan un toque interesante y fuerte a la canción. De igual forma tenemos "Parapharma" esta canción es más influencia Electronica y es más melódica que gritada. Podríamos decir que es una propuesta diferente a lo que estamos manejando, para así brindarles a todos una banda con dinamismo en sus canciones y no ser tan monótonos. Hike For A Hero es una banda que ha buscado siempre avanzar, tratar de escalar y evolucionar para su beneficio para así bridarles buena música, nuestras letras siempre traen mensajes que nos ponen a reflexionar en nuestras vidas, como es en nuestro sencillo "It's Carnival VS. Circus" que habla que somos una sociedad que en la mayoría critica sin argumento, que "hablan sin pensar" y que vivimos sacando conclusiones a la ligera. En fin, somos una banda que busca siempre innovar en su sonido y siempre dar un mensaje en nuestras canciones, consideramos que somos una banda que no se queda en lo mismo dentro del género y que siempre buscara de alguna forma diferenciarse de las demás bandas. En lo que va corrido de nuestra pequeña carrera, hemos tenido la oportunidad de vivir grandes experiencias como viajar a diferentes ciudades de nuestro país, ser conocidos en otros países y llegar a ser la banda telonera de 3 bandas que estaban teniendo su gira mundial las cuales son ASKING ALEXANDRIA, CHELSEA GRIN Y MISS MAY I. Actualmente somos reconocidos como una de las bandas más importantes del género en el país y queremos algún día ayudar a que Colombia quede en alto a nivel mundial en el ámbito musical, sobre todo en nuestro género que apenas está comezando a crecer.
