About Summer People

Summer People is a five-piece rock'n'roll band from Binghamton/NYC, NY. Their latest album "Burn The Germs" was released in April 2013 via Low Light Records. Produced and recorded by their friend Hunter Davidsohn, the album "shows a seedy-punk-rock, bottom-of-the-barrel attitude, not unlike that of favorites like The Cramps or Nick Cave" (Brooklyn Vegan). Before "Burn the Germs", Summer People released two full-length albums ("Teamwork" via Low Light; "Good Problems" via Red Leader) and a split with Cleveland's HotChaCha ("Do It." via Exit Stencil). They have performed at festivals such as SXSW '11/'12, Austin City Limits, and the Foburg Music Festival and have shared the stage with Wavves, Future of the Left, Tera Melos, Young Widows, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Balance and Composure, The Octopus Project, Marnie Stern, Kayo Dot, Polar Bear Club, and Fountains of Wayne. Summer People continues to release new music via Low Light Records, their own independent label, and tour the country in their veggie-oil van. Summer People is a five-piece rock 'n' roll band from NY.
