girugämesh

girugämesh (ギルガメッシュ/girugamesh) was created in 2003 in the suburbs of Tokyo. However, 2004 should be considered as the true beginning, because it was in that year the band formed its present line up: 左迅 (Satoshi, vocals, ex-べノム), 弐 (Nii, guitar), 愁 (Shuu, bass. before girugämesh he was a roadie for 蜉蝣) and Яyo (drums).

Their first concert was in Motoyawata ROUTE14 24.03.2004. At this time they released their first demo: [kosaki uta] ~kaijou kata enban~.
Band had many gigs and in August they gave in free records: jelatoa and mikongyakua. In same month they released their first maxi single: [kaisen sengen] ~kikaku kata enban~.
At the end of 2004 they released their second maxi single: [kuukyo no utsuwa] ~kyosaku kata enban~

In February they went on their "2005 Fuyu no Yukidoke Tourou" Tour.
In their last gig February 28 HenzeL was their support band in Meguro rock may canil.
In February they released their first Live DVD. girugämesh performed in KINDLING VOL.1 wand there was also Phantasmagoria and Vidoll.

15.04.2005 they performed concert where their support was Marusa. The concert, named Kaisen, was in Takadanobaba AREA and it was memory day of double CD Senyuu kyoutou utan 5 days after. In next month they released their first mini-album: goku -shohan kata enban-.

girugämesh combines many elements in their music like very low basses and guitars. Their sound is sinister and dark but still melodic. Satoshis voice is really unique with his demonic screaming and beautiful pure vocals and adding some rapcore singing.

In 2006 they released their first album named: 13's Reborn.

In 2007 they released another EP called "Reason of Crying", and their second full length album, "Girugamesh".
An extended version of this album was released in europe, containing three tracks from their first EP, "goku -shohan kata enban-." as bonus songs.

Their third album entitled "Music" is to be released in japan on 5th november 2008, and in europe on the 7th.
The european version will contain three songs from the bands second EP, "Reason of Crying".
A two disk bonus version containing a dvd, with tour footage from 2008, is also to be released on the same date.
