Adam Pierończyk performs in all parts of the world, and has won numerous awards. In 2015 he was named, for the eleventh consecutive year, as Jazz Forum magazine's "Best Soprano Saxophonist". In 2011 he was nominated for Poland's "Fryderyk" award (Polish Grammy) in five categories, winning the two most important statuettes - "Jazz Musician of The Year" and "Jazz Album of The Year". In 2016 nominated again twice as Artist of the Year and for Best Jazz Album for the cd - "Wings" recorded with the legendary Miroslav Vitous. He served as Artistic Director for the Jazz aux Oudayas and Jazz Au Chellah festivals in Rabat, Morocco in 2004-2005 and as Artistic Director of the Sopot Jazz Festival in 2011-2015 in Poland. He also composes music for theater productions.
