Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute - Scotland

Had an excellent experience watching these guys at the 02 Birmingham. Their musicianship and technical prowess were second to non. All three band members were enjoying themselves and there was banter going back and forth throughout. The crowd who knew the lyrics to all the songs Enjoyed the craic and everywhere I looked there were goofy grins and nodding heads along with some drum solos being reanacted. Would definitely see them again Superb

Long term Rush fan but first time I’ve seen MP. Absolutely excellent gig - flawless versions of classic Rush songs and all played with real passion and heart. Any Rush fan would get a blast from seeing Moving Pictures. Musicianship was tremendous, especially the drummer - who has a big ask doing the dearly-missed Neil Peart’s complex parts, but was breathtakingly good. The band themselves said that there were some new tunes on the setlist but apart from one moment of all members looking at each other going ‘Huh?’ (we’ve all been there at one time or another), you wouldn’t have known these songs weren’t regular material. Great night.

It’s the second time I have seen them and will again next time they are in Cambridge. Such a great band with a hard act to follow and they’ve cracked it.

Second time seeing the band. Fantastic again. Unbelievable value for money. Played three hours , early songs to late period , all expertly performed. I was excited to hear the whole Permanent Waves album played , in order. I was super impressed with the version of Different Strings, especially the long solo at the end. Amazing, can’t recommend highly enough for Rush fans. The drumming was a standout too. First class.

Moving Pictures are, quite simply, the perfect Rush tribute band. Talented, humble, funny and committed. The gig was a joy from start to finish. Rush fans are used to the very highest standards and Moving Pictures deliver every time. If you can see them, go see them!

Superb quality. Spot on correct every note and feel of Rush themselves. Highly recommend band. Had a good sense of humour too , like Rush.

Moving Pictures is always a great gig. They are all great musicians. The were on stage for 3 hrs played some fantastic Rush music. I have seen them before this time I dragged a few friends along, they loved them too.

Unbelievably good. Great musicians creating a brilliant atmosphere amongst fans who need little winning over. A treat for any Rush fan.

Good build up to a great night with Geddy Lee, Acoustic set was different but enjoyable.

Really great band, fabulous musicianship and topped it off with a wonderful warm engagement with the crowd. The whole event was what Friday nights were made for (helped if you’re a Rush fan of course).

It was a surreal day to listen to an amazing Rush tribute band :)Moving Pictures from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in Lakeside Park under the willows 🌳and by the lighthouse on the pier. Had a spin on the carousel 🎠 too. Still 5 cents!!

Incredible tribute band! They have an excellent sound and an ambitious set list that made this a great show.

We went to the afternoon show billed as the “best of the rest “, the really big anthems from Moving Pictures and other albums were left until the evening show which we didn’t do. That didn’t bother us the band performed a brilliant selection of Rush songs covering four decades of their music. The sound was very good and all the songs that I knew were played superbly and a precise rendition of the original in my opinion. Overall great entertainment and I would definitely like to go to the evening show next time. Thanks to Moving Pictures for producing an aural and visual treat for all Rush music fans.

Band was absolutely amazing. All excellent musicians. Roll on Jan next year.....and I hope it will be the Music Hall !!!
