Jacob Smigel: from songwriter to ER doctor— and back again!! This collaboration has elevated his song-craft and resulted in many styles and many moods... From the progressive self-help of Self-Preservation, to the dad-rock of Being a Dad (a Loudon Wainwright cover), to a 90’s tribute called The Best Song on the Album. Nashville Scene says “He’s folded interests like medicine and entomology and a fascination with found sound into songs that seem to tumble out of his head fully formed.” Vowing to keep artistic expression at the forefront of his life, Smigel has been hitting the road again since 2022.
