About Ventury

Ventury is the New House duo of Heddy Templaar and Charles Caste. While touring with different acts for several years, somehow they kept bumping into each other around the world. Heddy on turntables and Charles on drums, they played in every kind of venue, from small clubs to the biggest festivals: from the Social Club in Paris to Tomorrowland in Belgium, from the Eurockéennes de Belfort to Beatpatrol in Austria. They crushed these venues for years, as performing is the only relief for their visceral need to purge their musical energy. Their mutual desire to join forces became obvious one weeknight during the winter of 2011, as, once again, they met in an intimate and secret club in Paris. They wanted to team up to create a new musical entity that would capture who they are. They spent months locked in a room, torturing any tools available to them, sculpting their sound for countless hours to satisfy their urgent need to release a new creative energy. After producing a remix of “Saké” for the band Jupiter (Kitsuné) and a remix for Skip The Use (Polydor), it took shape. Ventury’s sound was born, right at the center of the House Music triangle formed by Chicago, London and Paris. Heddy and Charles call it "New House”. Their first EP, "1971 Dance Disaster", as a manifesto. "Dragedy," the opening track of the EP, introduces the genre in its very first seconds: a classy House Music, sexy and powerful. "Futureshock" could be the soundtrack of a hot summer in the 70's - nostalgia on the dancefloor. "Midnight Escapade" goes further in the exercise: a darker introduction that leads into a different track – melody, energy, harmony all wrapped in a fiery vocal part. And, finally, the EP concludes with "Introducing,” a wink to the listener and a goodbye till next time, seemingly saying, "We’re here for good." NEW HOUSE
