About Mechanical Process

In July 2011 Mike D, Ricky Rick, & Stewart Tiley joined forces to create the band we know today as Mechanical Process. Before we picked up our instruments, we talked about the direction of the band, & what our sound would be like. Soon after, we began shaping and solidifying our sound. October 2011, Samson Murray showed up for a bass audition and earned the right to the low end work. With a full roster we spent many months rehearsing, and hit the recording studio, working towards the goal of designing music to explore the mind. We pride ourselves on “BIG” riffs, power grooves, writing hardcore arrangements, and building on concepts. January 2012, we hit Danger Multi-Track Studio to record our Self Titled 5 song E.P with Joe Moody. Our goal was to strive for a different sound and attitude that the local band scene did not have. It was unsettling and we were really not sure it would be successful. We hadn't played any shows yet, and wondered if people would like the sound and style we had been working so hard to establish. With much gumption, we stuck to our guns and did what WE thought was right. It was the best decision we could have made. Since our self titled E.P was released February 17th 2012, we have been lucky enough to play some big stages across New England. Not only have we played big stages, but we have played them with respected and talented bands at both the local and national levels. To take that further, we have even been played on multiple college podcast metal stations, as well as The Metal Zone on 94HJY, a local hard rock station with a heavy listener audience. We finished up 2012 with a strong run of shows all the while we were writing for a follow up album. Keeping with the theme of a strong run of shows in 2012, we have continued that trend in 2013. One year to the date, Mechanical Process found ourselves back at Danger Multi-Track Studio with Joe Moody. We had spent the entire summer & fall writing, arranging and rehearsing brand new material for a full length album. Armed with preparation, the time had come to bring the album to life. This full length album proved to be a daunting, yet rewarding task. A limited budget meant we had no choice but to be better than we are on our best day, play better than we ever played at our best show, and stay focused on the task at hand no matter what obstacles could get in our way. Through sheer perseverance and will power, Joe Moody along with Mechanical Process produced ten well written and intricately arranged songs to process your brain. Look for our latest release, titled “Respect The Anger,” in the spring/summer of 2013. Mechanical Process's music is designed to explore the mind. We pride ourselves on “BIG” riffs, power grooves, writing hardcore arrangements, and building on concepts.
