MojoJojo is the alias, under which DJ/Producer, Akshay Johar, produces ‘Bass Heavy’ music and is instantly recognizable because of his fine handlebar moustache and distinctive brand of crossover music. Almost out of nowhere, MojoJojo has taken the electronic music circuit by storm and broken from the throng of young DJ/Producers. Having clocked nearly a 100 gigs in just a year’s time, including opening for the likes of Zomboy, Dismantle and Dbridge. With a 4 track EP release and 5 bootlegs/remixes in tow, he has garnering major traction in the electronic music space, with nearly 50,000 plays on social media. Having been into music since age 10, playing multiple instruments and in several successful bands over the years, MojoJojo has developed a very diverse background in music. Hence, he is as at ease producing and playing ‘Drum & Bass, as he is at ‘Trap’ or ‘Twerk’. This equipped with keen skill and natural talent, makes him an open format DJ/Producer, who sees no delineation between making music and playing it. The year 2015-16 seems to be his for the taking as his debut album, ‘SHOTS FIRED’, is releasing on TIMES MUSIC Worldover on 3rd October 2015, for which he is going to be touring the length and breadth of the country, playing at all major festivals and venues and propagating his brand of bass music!
