About Stick Against Stone
Stick Against Stone is a funk-injected post-punk/no wave band from Pittsburgh, PA that resided in Pittsburgh; Brooklyn, New York; Eugene, Oregon and San Francisco, California and remained active (in no less than six incarnations) between 1980 and 1990. The band incorporated elements of no wave, world music, free jazz, reggae, avant-funk, rap, spoken word, ska, dub, African, and art-rock into their music. Discography: ("Body Motion") on a vinyl compilation album TMI 015 (1982). 4 song eponymous cassette - (1985), "The Index of Directions" - a 14 song album with a 6 song studio EP from 1982 and a live concert at "It's A Small World" nightclub in East Liberty, Pittsburgh, PA from Nov. 1981 (2010); "Live at Danny's Pub" - from 1982 (2012) and "The Oregon Bootleg Tapes - LIVE" on 6 May 2014.
