On May 13, 2013 Arcane Dimension has inked a worldwide deal with RAVENHEART MUSIC, a UK based record label/distribution hub specialising in female fronted rock and metal. A remastered and remixed release of the current album "Avantgarden" is expected, enriched by bonus tracks and updated artwork. Release date TBA. Arcane Dimension are lead vocalist and belly dancer Teresa Camp and, Polish-born multi-instrumentalist Jarek Tatarek whose specialty is the GuitarViol, a unique stringed instrument fretted like a guitar but bowed like a cello. Their self-described style of “Tribal Fusion & Avantgarde Metal” falls somewhere between Finnish cello rockers Apocalyptica and neoclassical darkwave duo Dead Can Dance with touches of electronica, metal and Middle Eastern music. The sound revolves around enchanting female vocals, haunting bowed guitar (GuitarViol) melodies, and hypnotic rhythms. Ritualistic elements, one of a kind costuming and stage decorations, guest musicians and dancers complete the elements incorporated into the live show. The core lined up is completed by Jared Marill on bass guitar. Featuring seductive female vocals, haunting GuitarViol melodies, edgy rock riffs, world instruments, electronic beats and hypnotic tribal drums Arcane Dimension weaves a landscape for all who crave fresh and innovative sound. A theatrical presentation combined with one of a kind costuming, eye-catching stage decorations, guest musicians and tribal belly dancers complete the elements incorporated into the live show. In 2012 Arcane Dimension released their highly anticipated and genre-defying album titled “Avantgarden”. From the first track listeners are taken on a dream like journey to far off lands and familiar fantasies. The haunting GuitarViol & siren like vocals paint a vivid picture against the backdrop of ethnic percussion, electronic accents and sometimes hard-hitting rock riffs. The albums title track ‘Avantgarden’ offers a darker, trip hop attitude while still subscribing to Arcane Dimension’s signature, GuitarViol driven sound. Reviewers have described the album as “superbly organic & melodic”, “each track offers something different while also feeling perfectly situated within the sequence of the album”, “haunting, beautiful & enlightened” Arcane Dimension is the brain-child of Jarek Tatarek, a Polish-American multi-instrumentalists & founder of the legendary Polish thrashers Ashtaroth, the industrial-metal project Enclave and the female-fronted gothic metal band Halcyon Days. Teresa Camp is the other half of the band. A California native Teresa was lead singer for Halcyon Days and is also a belly dancer and choreographer and has traveled and performed internationally. With extensive training in speech level singing, opera technique and some Balkan influence vocal coaching, Teresa has created a very unique and tempered voice for Arcane Dimension. Formed in 2005 Arcane Dimension started out an atmospheric rock/metal band but has since taken an ongoing musical journey releasing several albums: In Ecstasy & Sorrow (2005), The Becoming (2009), The Awakening (2010), Tribal Collaborations (2012) and Avantgarden (2012). Through it all Arcane Dimension has been committed to pushing boundaries, combining genres, collaborating with other artists and urging those around them to pursue their passion & have the courage to go after their dreams. The bands performance resume extends all over the Bay Area and includes festivals like Harmony Festival, Handcar Regatta & Hookadome. Clubs such as 1015 Folsom, Hopmonk, and The Aubergine. Belly Dance events including TribalFest and North Bay Belly Dance Bazaar, and bookstores like Open Secret and Ancient Ways.
