The Lil Smokies

I went to see Steve Kimock, but left just as impressed by these guys as the openers. Great energy! Superb vocals too. Looking forward to catching them again, but next time on a real stage where they can spread out. Vinyl is too small for a bluegrass quintet.

Had never seen them and had never been to Tico Time. What an awesome venue! I wish my kids were still young as it’s a great place for young kids and Parents alike. The sound was fantastic and you could be up close or chill in chair and see and hear great. Reminds me of the way The Wilmers Park scene started out for me in mid 1980’s and had a great long run of festivals.I hope this place get the Love and support to continue. I will be back next weekend for Reggae Fest and all festivities for foreseeable future. Johnthevirgo

As always this was a killer show. Hope to see more sax in the future! Loved me some of that blues grass sound.

Smokin hot strings in this band. They were tight, all together in the stop/starts in the breaks, excellent musicians crafting beautiful solos woven into gigantic crescendos that had everyone either; dancing their socks off or standing slacked jawed gazing in amazement at the incredible music being created right in front of the them. Any day any time, the Lil Smokies bring the fire, be ready for a killer show!

The Lil Smokies were fantastic!!! This was the best band of the year for me and I danced and sang along with their music all night long. They are onto something and I hope to hear much more from them in the years ahead. The new album Tornillo has moving blends and fire to match. I want to say that I appreciate the personal sacrifice the band members make when they make these sweeping tours and are away from their families for so long. Thanks for doing it Smokies and spreading happiness in your path.
