ENG The Vallorch project was born in December 2010, aiming to blend heavy metal with the strong passion for folk/traditional music. The band consists of seven members, four of which form a classic metal rhythm section and the other three provide unique melodies with peculiar instruments such as bagpipes, tin whistles, accordion and violin. Death and thrash metal influences, along with screamed vocals and death grunts generated a distinctive contrast with the leading female vocals combined with the folk instruments’ cheerfulness. With this formula in mind, the band debuted in 2012 with its first EP, Voices of North, which was met with great public approval. The following year, they released Neverfade, their first full-length, which allowed them to play alongside prominent bands and international festivals and venues, and granting them their first European tour. 2015 marks the release of their second album, Until Our Tale Is Told, mixed and mastered by Michele Gasparri (Vexillum) and Federico Corazzi, with its artwork realized by Jan Örkki Yrlund (who previously worked on Korpiklaani’s and Manowar’s artworks). ITA Il progetto Vallorch nasce a Dicembre del 2010, con lo scopo di unire heavy metal con una forte passione per la musica popolare e tradizionale. La band è composta da sette membri, quattro dei quali formano una classica sezione ritmica metal, e gli altri tre forniscono melodie uniche di strumenti insoliti, tra cui cornamusa, tin whistle, fisarmonica e violino. Influenze death e thrash metal, assieme a parti vocali in scream e growl hanno dato vita a un caratteristico contrasto con la voce femminile principale, combinata con l’allegria degli strumenti folk. Con questa formula in mente, la band ha debuttato nel 2012 col suo primo EP, Voices of North, che ha incontrato il favore di molti. L’anno seguente, hanno rilasciato Neverfade, il loro primo full-length, che ha permesso loro di suonare a fianco di band di spicco, oltre che in festival e locali internazionali. Il 2015 segna l’uscita del loro secondo album, Until Our Tale Is Told, con mix e master realizzati da Michele Gasparri (Vexillum) e Federico Corazzi, il cui artwork è stato realizzato da Jan Örkki Yrlund (che ha precedentemente lavorato sulle copertine di Korpiklaani e Manowar).
