About Matt Moran
Matt Moran is a regionally know alt-country singer-songwriter with 300+ shows and a full US tour under his belt.
He is currently promoting his first full-fledged album Heartache Kid released May 2022 as a follow up to his 2020 acoustic album "Black Sheep."
The "Heartache Kid" album has made Saving Country Music's list of "Most Anticipated Albums in 2022" and Outsider.com's list of "Best Albums of May 2022."
Heartache Kid is a ten track album that explores what Moran calls "existential country." The songs cover the topics of love ("Wait"), death ("Black Sedan"), sobriety ("Tequila or Me"), and the collapse of the American Dream ("This Can't Be It").
Influences for the album include Jason Isbell, John Moreland, and Counting Crows. Moran describes the sound of the album as "a country kid that grew up on 90s alt-rock."
