The Inturns

The Inturns are a high-energy rock trio from Cincinnati, Ohio that’s hell-bent on making sure you have as good a time as they do. Tracing its beginnings to the friendship of guitarist David Taylor and bassist Gino Sena in 2008, Joshua Justis joined in 2020. The rest, well, is history. Playing what they dub as “power indie,” their sound draws heavily from old school rock n’ rollers like Jimi Hendrix, The Who, and Kiss while blending elements from more modern acts such as The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and Cage the Elephant to create a sound all their own. Don’t let their name fool you; they’ve established quite a reputation maintaining a regular schedule in bars, clubs, and venues all over the Cincinnati tristate area, noted for their spirited performances and wide variety of musical influence. November 2016 saw the release of their extended play “Sleeper,” giving the world a taste of their unique power indie sound. They’ve subsequently appeared at festivals like the Birds of a Feather Music and Arts Festival and the Northern Kentucky Music Festival, and on WAIF 88.3 FM and 700WLW. Their long-awaited LP titled “Flashpoint” was released in September of 2017. An almost entirely self-produced record, it further showcases more of the group’s unique original material as well as homages to two local music legends. With a very promising horizon, they aim to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with wherever good music and good times are to be had! Power indie straight from Cincy!
