About Jade Hopcroft
Demanding the attention of listeners with her powerhouse vocals, Jade Hopcroft brings her version of pop with a twist that has attracted comments such as ‘completely moreish’ and ‘the definition of a tune’. Recently backed by BBC Introducing's Sarah Gosling, who said she blew the competition out of the water for her as Introducing pick of the week.
She moved to the South West at a young age, with a fascination to paint, draw and make everything she could. After leaving school she made the choice that the restraints of studying art wasn’t for her and without any training impulsively signed up for a music course.
The next few years shaped Jade as an artist and performer, traveling to London and playing shows at The Troubadour, Notting Hill Arts Club and Bush Hall.
Starting her career as a solo acoustic artist supporting names such as Matt Corby, Marika Hackman and Luke Sital-Singh she transformed her sound into bigger emotive pop.
With influences such as Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard and Lykke Li she uses bold vocal hooks with revealing but relatable lyrics.
After her debut EP release Obsessions, comparisons to
Florence + The Machine and Maggie Rogers were imminent and she holds her own in such great company.
