Samantha Young

18 year old songwriter Samantha Young has been playing music since the age of 7. Proficient in flute, piano, guitar, and voice, Samantha has found her calling in songwriting. She continued to hone her craft at Berklee College of Music's 5 Week Summer Program in 2012. She is the 2nd Place winner of the qualifying round of the Young Performers' Music On & Up 19 & Under showcase and winner of the Best Original Song award at the Grand Finale round. She also won 2nd place at the annual Battle of the Bands at her school, Masconomet Regional High. She is a frequent performer the Walnut Street Café and has performed extensively in the North Shore/Boston area. Her debut album "Marvelously Strange" was released June 8th, 2014.
