About Alex Over
"I'll always vividly remember my early teenage years. I'd listen to my weekly album purchases on my Walkman which defined my early music experiences and was often confiscated by the head teacher at school. I listened to everything from R&B to film scores, '80s and club music. I’d fall asleep with my headphones in. In my late teenage years, I bought my first pair of 1210’s and never looked back.”
Alex Over is an electronic music producer and DJ who specialises in creating vibrant club tracks, chic vocal hits, and will soon make his highly anticipated return to the DJ decks.
Growing up in Brighton UK, Alex delved into the music scene in 2010, DJing in the back rooms of Brighton student nights before gaining Brighton residency slots at Coalition and Audio, warming up for some of the most respected talent in the industry. In 2013, Alex joined electronic music collective, Let The Machines Do The Work, and played warm-up sets alongside Booka Shade, received support from Zane Lowe and Annie Mac and released three EP’s, including one via Kerri Chandler's label.
Alex has released music via EMI Publishing in collaboration with KNIGHTSTOWN and Andrew Shoberiri which was used on primetime TV including Channel 4. He also founded the imprint Perpetual Collective in late 2019 through which he releases all of his own music as well as collaborations and upcoming remixes by fellow electronic music artists.
In 2022, Alex began releasing a back catalogue of vocal tracks he produced with long-time collaborator Andrew Shobeiri and features some of the most talented up-and-coming vocalists in the UK. More releases are expected in 2023 alongside remixes by the likes of Addison Groove, Skudge and more.
