Different People

Different People are a 4 piece band from Essex that bring their own distinct and uncompromising sound of rock that incorporates strong influences of indie, punk and grunge. Formed in 2014, Different People consists of lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Matt Whitta, lead guitarist Lee Sambridge, bassist Alissa Owen, and drummer David Nolan. The band have been busy making a name for themselves on the Essex and London live circuit with their high energy live sets and supported Scouting For Girls in November 2014. Throughout 2015, 2016 and into 2017 the band continue to gig on a regular basis, delivering emotive performances with an ethos of providing raw, uncontrived and honest rock music that's played with passion. ​ After forming an alliance with Backwater Channel Records and working closely with their producer and recording engineer Barry Banks, the band were busy writing material throughout 2015 and released their debut EP in 2016 entitled Picture Perfect which is available to purchase in physical format on CD and via digital download from the Backwater Channel Records website. ​ Having since returned to the studio the band have been busy developing their sound and crafting new songs and have recently re-emerged with a collection of new material for 2017 with a brand new single and accompanying video scheduled for release this Spring which takes the band into somewhat broader territory lyrically along with a more matured sound, providing a hint of what's to come with the next EP due later in the year. ​ No bullshit, no gimmicks... this is the real deal.
