About Town of Saints
Town of Saints started as a busking act in the summer of 2010, after Harmen Ridderbos and Heta Salkolahti met each other in the mountains of Austria. In the eight years that followed the band saw many shapes and forms and explored a myriad of musical styles, but now they seem to have come full circle.
On their third album “Celebrate” (October 5, 2018), Harmen and Heta dig back into their roots as a folk duo. The dark folk rock songs about human behaviour during the apocalypse are recorded with a five-piece band, but they are acoustic folk songs in essence.
Even though many of the songs on the new album are about the end of the world, Town of Saints manages to play them with a fresh new energy, some necessary humor and a vigorous joy.
When you do go see them live, expect to leave the room a little lighter than when you entered. Not only because you just danced all of the sweat out of your body, but also because not everything is as bad as it sometimes seems. Not even the end of the world.
