Danka

Formed in 2005, Jax Beach, Florida’s DANKA has a mix of reggae-punk style with southern blues roots. The band stays busy in the studio, tours regularly, and works relentlessly on making music that people can escape to. Lead singer, guitarist, and band founder Matt Henderson, brings passion and energy to the stage. Percussionist, Richard DeVaughn and bassist, Adam Kenneway are a well seasoned pair, that provide a rock solid backbone to the band. Danka has been on regional and national tours opening for Steel Pulse, Slightly Stoopid, Matisyahu, Stick Figure, Passafire, The Expenable, Iration, Authority Zero, Fishbone, Pato Banton, Agent Orange, Dick Dale, and several other top names in today's reggae, rock, and alternative scenes. In 2014, with over 3,500 votes, Danka was awarded 'Best Band in North Florida' by Void Magazine. In June of 2017, the band released their third studio album and they are eager to reach new audiences!
