About Dievondavon

dievondavon are Fridolin Körner and Ralf Thiessies, a synth pop band formed on New Year’s Day 2011. Inspired by an actress whose name neither could remember, Frido and Ralf set about writing lo-fi future pop classics inspired by superstars like Erasure, Bowie, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Marc Almond, using only analogue synths. Their first show came at the invitation of Alexander Geist, who asked Dievondavon to play with him at his Silver Future summer residency in the year of their formation. Though neither member plays instruments, they have created a catalogue of twenty something songs over the past 4 years, which they have performed for audiences across Germany including the Queer Noises Festival, Denkodrom Festival and the Berlin Music Video Awards. Dievondavon are currently pregnant with their first EP. http://soundcloud.com/dievondavon
